A permanent magnetic yoke, often referred to as a permanent magnet yoke, is a device used in magnetic particle inspection (MPI) to detect surface and near-surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials. Unlike electromagnetic yokes that require an external power source, permanent magnetic yokes use strong, permanent magnets to generate the magnetic field necessary for the inspection process.
