Jakarta, 9 May 2025 – PT. Gamma Buana Persada, a leading rope access and NDT services provider in Indonesia, has successfully hosted the 2025 IRATA Southeast Asia Regional Advisory Committee (SEARAC) Meeting—a major event for IRATA members across Southeast Asia. Held over two days, the meeting took place on 7 May at Klub Kelapa Gading and continued on 8 May at the PT. Gamma Buana Persada Training & Workshop Facility in Pulomas, East Jakarta.
The event gathered hundreds of IRATA representatives and technicians from across the region, including Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. As member IRATA in Indonesia, PT. Gamma Buana Persada proudly demonstrated its leadership and capability in hosting an event of such an international scale.
Day 1: Launch of IRATA TechConnect – A New Digital Era for Technicians
The first day of the meeting focused on regulatory updates, organizational direction, and the official launch of IRATA TechConnect—a newly branded and enhanced online platform for IRATA technicians. Replacing the previous Technician Portal, IRATA TechConnect is designed to streamline how technicians manage their IRATA records and certifications.
Key features of IRATA TechConnect include:
🔹 Update Personal Contact Information
IRATA TechConnect empowers technicians to manage their personal information directly through the platform. This includes updating email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses to ensure all communications—such as certification reminders, job opportunities, and important IRATA announcements—are received promptly and accurately.
🔹 Access Assessment Results, Certification History, and Recertification Deadlines
With TechConnect, technicians can view a comprehensive record of their assessment results, certification history, and recertification due dates. This feature enables technicians to track their professional development and maintain compliance with IRATA’s renewal requirements—minimizing the risk of certification lapse and work interruptions.

🔹 Retrieve IRATA Policies and Key Documents
The platform offers direct access to important IRATA documents, including training standards, safety protocols, certification procedures, and ethics guidelines. This helps technicians and training companies stay aligned with the latest regulations and ensures consistent adherence to international IRATA best practices.
🔹 Explore Global Job Opportunities
Through TechConnect, technicians can browse job listings posted by IRATA Member Companies worldwide. This centralized feature opens doors to international career prospects that match a technician’s skill level and IRATA certification tier, supporting mobility and career advancement across borders.
🔹 Request Replacement Certificates and ID Cards
In the event of lost or damaged certificates or ID cards, technicians can easily submit a request for replacements directly through TechConnect. This streamlined process reduces downtime and allows technicians to quickly return to active duty with the proper documentation in hand.
In the near future, the platform will also provide digital certification access, improving transparency and accessibility for technicians worldwide.
New Compliance Requirements Starting 30 May 2025
The meeting also introduced an important policy update: As of 30 May 2025, all IRATA candidates—including Level 1 newcomers—must be fully registered on TechConnect at least 48 hours before their scheduled assessment. While Training Member Companies (TMCs) can assist in the registration process, the responsibility for completion lies with the individual technician.
Updated instructions will be reflected in the IRATA Online System User Guide [GU-151ENG], and support is available through IRATA’s official channels.
Day 2: Technical Workshop and Live Rope Access Demo
The second day shifted from conference halls to practical engagement. Held at PT. Gamma Buana Persada’s dedicated rope access facility, the agenda included:
🔹 IRATA Assessment Updates
During Day 2 of the SEARAC Meeting 2025, attendees were briefed on the latest updates regarding IRATA’s assessment protocols. The session covered changes in how technicians are evaluated, system integrations through TechConnect, and important deadlines for technician registration prior to assessments. These updates are designed to ensure fairness, accuracy, and transparency across the IRATA system.
🔹 Training System Review and Global Policy Alignment
The workshop also included a collaborative discussion on training system improvements and how IRATA ensures global consistency in the application of its standards. Training Member Companies (TMCs) exchanged insights on aligning local training practices with international policies, aiming to uphold IRATA’s reputation for safety, professionalism, and technical excellence.
🔹 Live Demonstration by PT. Gamma Buana Persada’s Rope Access Experts

As the event’s host, PT. Gamma Buana Persada presented a live rope access demonstration performed by its in-house certified technicians. The demonstration highlighted the latest techniques in rope climbing, rescue operations, and high-angle safety procedures, all conducted in accordance with IRATA standards. This session not only showcased the technical skill of Gamma Buana’s team, but also underscored the company’s role as a regional leader in rope access innovation and training.
Participants were treated to a live rope access demo, showcasing the latest climbing and safety techniques aligned with IRATA international standards. The demonstration received enthusiastic praise from attendees and reaffirmed Gamma Buana’s excellence in rope access implementation and training.
